Carol Soo Lum, Artist, sees her artwork as the convergence of art, culture and technology; with the objective of facilitating intercultural communication.

Carol Soo Lum was born 1954 in Trinidad & Tobago. As a young child she was inspired by the calligraphic skills of her father, and by the artistic creativity of her siblings.

For many years, Soo Lum has also worked in the field of Information Technology, in the financial and energy sectors, and in cross-cultural settings. She believes that lifelong education is necessary for ongoing personal self-development; and she sustains her artistic creativity through cultural exchanges that come with work experiences in far-flung places. Yet her production as an artist always reflects the cultural milieu of her native country while reaching out to embrace the diversity of her universal heritage.
