JOHN BORELY
As a child I had a real fascination for ancient Greek mythology and this grew into a love and appreciation for all that Classical Greece had to offer; its philosophy, its history, its humanist achievements and its sculpture.

I have been fiddling around with sculpting, on and off, for the last ten years basically for my own pleasure. But after visiting Greece a couple years ago, to study the Art and Archaeology of Ancient Greece, I have become inspired to take my art more seriously.

I usually model in clay and present my work in plaster but I have also worked in concrete and other modelling materials.

I also paint but here my inspiration tends to be more eclectic.

My wife, Albada, and I operate Beekham Borely Studios out of our Diamond Vale home.
