WULF GERSTENMAIER
Wulf Gerstenmaier was born in Germany where he studied graphic design and art.
Later Wulf opened his own design studio for motorcycle and sports car accessories in southern Germany. For fifteen years he successfully designed, built and produced accessories that eventually led his company into an internationally acclaimed position.
Today Wulf's Sport-Styling Designs are still well known in Germany. His clientele included famous names in the motorcycle arena such as BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Ducati. In automobile design, his classic artistry can be found on the Porsche, Audi and Renault-Alpine in the racing industries.
His most important design elements evolved from his practical experiences as a motorcycle racer. At the tender age of twenty five years he won the German championship (OMK Pokal) title in Motorcycle road racing.
1991 – 1999 Wulf went abroad in search of new inspirations for his passion for the arts. This brought him to the Mediterranean in his sailing yacht The Aeon and later to the Caribbean. In those years his painting intensified and he held numerous exhibitions in various Caribbean islands and in Europe.
After three years of living in St Lucia, his paintings became more popular using different colours and an extra creative flamboyance.
In the year 2000 he settled in the Caribbean island of Trinidad. There he works as a fine artist, art teacher and art restaurateur. Wulf's first solo art exhibition in Trinidad was hosted in 2001 by Art Creators Gallery in St Ann's.
His second solo art exhibition was sponsored by 'The Boss Stationery' and was hosted at the National Museum of Trinidad & Tobago.
Wulf's works are in collections in the USA, England, Martinique, St Lucia and in Germany.
