Artist Statement

"Who Cares?" The answer to this question is, I Care ...

As an artist, with painting I seek to find a simple acceptance of the grace that surrounds me in the connections of faith and illumination, where cognitive thought radiates my relationship to the creative process.

I aspire to interpret the tension of stillness and flow, and the innate pulsation of life or the energy behind the process of the vision. I Offer paintings tethered to my personal urgings, the intimates of my drive to explore. I use an instinctive approach to color in order to elevate the emotional nuance within the painting. My goal is to stay open to the lucidity of nature,'to interpret transformation In the call of the moment, seeking to portray within that visual moment the invocation of mystery. I enjoy merging mental concepts with the multiplicity of intuition within the artistic expression.

Discovering what lurks within transformation, from the familiar or forgotten to the unexpected and unrealized. There I can explore the consummate shapes of the imagination toward tire intuitive.

There is a natural interaction in the transference of energy with that which I see as being alive and my experience of metamorphosis. I take this journey to understand the resonance of the life force; that there is a communion between the outer -landscape and.the mystical visibility of our senses.

I see transparency on the static slate of time, mirrored into multiple images with a chance to visit one capturing moment in that revolution of infinity. An endearment, a gentle way, a small caress of thought, the feeling energized behind the interpretation, creates the show. To seek through air how light bounces from the vision and into one's mind.... back and forth, back and forth, like the ethereal piston of creativity, until some point of intent creates the horizon or the threshold, I choose, to breathe in that space, how one might stand in the middle of it all and know how one image might touch the heart and mind, and find the garden of the soul.

My paintings represent what surrounds my life, my intent and my Imagination all God given gifts. These semi abstract metaphors on my journey, rooted and unrooted, are for your reflection: Who Cares!
