BARBARA JARDINE

Born: April 8, 1951 in Pointe-a-Pierre, South Trinidad.

From both sides of her family Barbie Jardine inherited artistic genes: her mother painted and sewed and her aunt Suzanne had gone to art school.

On her father's side two of his aunts were distinguished watercolourists.

Barbara Jardine trained as a jeweller at the Central School of Art (BA)   and did her MA at the Royal College of Art in 1981.  She formed Alchemy Goldsmiths in 1997.

She lives and works in Port of Spain.
